The London Metal Exchange is the world’s premiere market for non-ferrous metals, and also one of the world’s oldest markets. While always maintaining a presence at the exchange, in 2007 Reuters decided to ‘re-launch’ their brand by holding a high-profile party during London Metal Exchange Week.
I developed the artwork “Then/Now” based on the history of the exchange itself, which began as a place to buy & sell copper and slowly expanded to trade in other non-ferrous metals like aluminum in the 21st century. Hence ‘Then’ carved in a block of copper, and ‘Now’ stamped in a block of aluminum.
The image itself was rendered with Cinema4D and used across all materials, culminating in a video at the party itself.
