The Lipper Fund Awards take place in 22 countries and 8 languages every year to celebrate fund manager’s success in the marketplace. For the 2008 awards, Lipper wanted something special to kick-off the celebrations and also act as their core marketing campaign for the year.

I developed a number of concepts which we pared down to the ‘Language of Success’, which celebrated not only the success of the winning fund managers, but also emphasized the global nature of the financial markets they dealt with and the awards program itself.

All of the work was created in 8 different languages which was a somewhat stressful undertaking, especially with Traditional Chinese (one wrong character and you’ve insulted the whole crowd.) The campaign culminated in a short video which ran before all of the events.
