About that tablet

Would I get an Apple Tablet? You bet.

I was having this discussion today in a Brooklyn playground with another dad who just bought a new unibody MacBookPro.

“You know, I never take my laptop to meetings anymore, I just a take a little notebook and a pen. I don’t like to carry a lot of stuff.”

And a few days before that I was eagerly looking at Sony’s new Readers and thinking “this is so much more flexible than the Kindle. I could drop all of my PDF reference manuals in there along with daily downloads of The Economist.”

And that’s when I realized, yeah, when Apple comes out with their tablet I’m heading down to the Apple store. A touchscreen notepad that can double as an eBook reader and sync with my Macs at home? That’s what I’ve been waiting for.
